In Diwali they have fireworks and we have fireworks when we celebrate gun powder, treason and plot. We have fireworks at new year too. Diwali is similar to the new year because we all forget about the past and move onto the future.
I totally agree, Sarah. The gift-giving, the new start, the fireworks and the family time are just like our lives as Christians. If we could all find things that are the same about instead of what is different, then it may help lots of people get on a little bit more. Thanks for your comment! Mr G
Divali is great fun because Hindus light little lights called Divas. Divali is a Hindu festival in India and they have fireworks and we have fireworks too in our country.The fireworks are very,very colourful and the very end ones are really loud.I liked learning about Rama and Sita.I really,really enjoyed learning about DIVALI!
